The second half of the show is devoted to part 1 of an in-depth interview we recorded with Steve and Gord from the band Majorlaan from Langely BC. Canadian punk rock legend Art Bergmann, who made his name in Vancouver, these days lives in rural Alberta, but is still active in music. At the top of the show, we unearth a couple of tracks from his early 90s output, as well as a track from recent album The Apostate. Brisbane-based 3-piece Disgruntled Taxpayers are back with another record of biting social commentary called $5 Toaster, and we air a track from the release, before the Canadian half of the show that includes singles from Abbotsford, BC-based artists Kuri and Kristin Witko.

We’ll certainly be airing track from that record in due course, but in the meantime, we introduce the band to new listeners with three tracks from the band’s extensive back catalogue. We also feature the latest single titled, Gloria Graham, from the brilliant Dave Graney, who has been active in Australian music since the late 70s. And lots of quality new Canadian music including tracks from three more of the acts who played at Arts On The Fly 2018 – Blocktreat, Red Monkey Black King and Pharis and Jason Romero.
